But before you do that, here’s a that list of cool things you can start building in Minecraft today.

1. Giant Roller Coaster

Build a track using powered rails with multiple twists and loops. Steep and sudden drops will make this a ride nobody will ever forget, and then as they drop down, put them into a water dip. You can theme up the roller coaster in different ways it be like a jungle, haunted house, or sci-fi for different parts of the ride. Redstone can be used to trigger sounds and flashing lights.

2. Educational Animal Farm

Another cool thing to build in Minecraft is to create an educational working farm. Build separate pens for cows, sheep, and chickens using fences or glass to keep them in. Have feeding stations, for example with the chickens, use dispensers filled with eggs that automatically hatch chicks. Then have an area where school buses can arrive, so the children can meet and pet the animals.

3. Pirate Ship

Ahoy there! Who doesn’t want to control their very own pirate ship? This cool Minecraft idea will involve you creating large sails using wool or banners and strong or fences for the riggings. On the top deck, place cannons (dispensers) that can fire TNT. Below deck you can build a luxurious captain’s quarters, and on the table a map, compass, and treasure. Then create a secret room for the stolen treasure, containing gold blocks and emeralds.

4. Medieval Castle

How big do you want to go? Your medieval castle could end up being a hugely intricate project that brings the Middle Ages to life. You can build stone towers with arrow slits for defence and study walls to protect your soldiers. Then add a moat of water or lava and add a retractable drawbridge to defend against intruders. Inside the castle you will need a throne room with banners, chandeliers, and a long table for royal feasts. And lastly, add a creepy dungeon!

5. Treehouse Village

This cool thing to build in Minecraft has endless possibilities. It’s a treehouse village using massive trees, with rope bridges connecting houses. You can add greenery and flowerpots that hang from the treehouses for a cozy and natural feel. But don’t forget the excitement. Place ladders and zip-lines (with Redstone) for fun ways to navigate around your growing village… which could become a town!

6. Hidden Underground Base

Of all the cool things to build in Minecraft, this is one that we know almost everyone will love, because who doesn’t want a secret underground base? Create a camouflaged secret entrance, then use Redstone for a piston door mechanism activated by a hidden lever, button, or pressure plate. Once deep underground you can build a control room, trap doors, hidden rooms, escape tunnels, and different themed rooms. Don’t forget to also include a hidden observation room with glass walls looking out onto an underground ravine, a lava lake, or an ocean.

7. Sky City

You will need a head for heights with this cool idea of what to build in Minecraft. To get started, create large, circular or rectangular floating platforms in the sky using materials like stone, quartz. Glass can give it a very futuristic look. Each platform can be supported and connected with pillars, or you can make them look like they float with nothing underneath. Multi-level platforms connected by bridges and walkways will enhance it further, and then start adding everything you would want to find in a futuristic sky city.
