WORST CAMP EVER, THE GAMES ARE SO BORING AND RUBBISH DO NOT COME TO THIS CAMP IT IS AWFUL. HATED THIS CAMP SO MUCH BECUASE I WAS SO BORED. THE BEST PART OF THE DAY WAS WHEN WE GOT TO GO DOWN TO THE SPORTS HALL AND PLAY FOOTBALL BUT EVEN THAT WASN'T GREAT

I have just experienced the most appalling customer service with this company and am absolutely disgusted with their lack of empathy towards customers. Had my son booked on to attend a course, however due to rail strikes it is not possible to take him into central London so I requested a refund, this was refused however I then asked for a credit note as I’d be happy to rebook for another suitable time, yet this was still refused. So they are just willing to take my money and no offer of resolution for a situation that is out of our control?! I cannot comprehend how any company can treat their customers in this manner and be able to operate. We have attended a course with Funtech pre pandemic and was more than happy to return for another course but with such absolute appalling customer services and no flexibility for situations that cannot be controlled, this company should not be allowed to operate. Their advice was to ‘did you get insurance?’ So where on their website does it advise to take out insurance prior to making a booking? Best advice for anyone considering booking a course with Funtech is ‘don’t’, all they care about is taking your money and have no empathy or consideration for their customers!!! I’ll be looking to take further action on this appalling experience

However, what would have otherwise been a great 2nd week of the course was overshadowed by the lack of interest and enthusiasm by the Tutor who was constantly forgetting what he was teaching, encountering issues with his own code and when asked for help in something as simple as maximizing the screen, he lied to me about it not being possible in the language even though later on in the day, I had found that it was indeed possible. It was so evident that he was uninterested As a Tutor who I hope to learn not only the game (that is taught in the course) from, but also other basic information that is required for me to understand the foundation of pygame, his knowledge of how, what and why regarding the language itself was so poor that I ended up having to rely on the internet for help, more than him during the course. Despite there not being enough experience and knowledge of the Tutor at his end, the most frustrating part was towards the end of the course when instead of helping anyone with their code at all, he spent over 90% of the lesson fixing a technical hardware error at another student's end which meant that towards the end of the course where there was no source material (e.g videos) and we were 100% reliant on the tutor himself, he simply wasn't available and the saddest part of it all is, even if he was, I doubt he would have any idea of how to help us with our code. I came into this course with high expectations which, in the beginning, were getting fulfilled, but the second half of the course ruined it for me.

Also, there has been a technical issue where during one particular session, the Tutor had forgotten to turn off my screen sharing which lead to my wallpaper being permanently changed to black. Do I just simply change my wallpaper or is there a fix to the issue which reverts the computer to how it was before the screen sharing?

Adding £100 to the cost and then offering a £100 discount seems really quite questionable...

Fun Tech was very fun and it was full of fun activities

The java coder was a bit basic. It shouldnt be that expensive. I hope all the other camps are better. If you are good at java I think you should go straight to the Minecraft Mods course

As a student of funtech camp doing java coder I think that the teachers are 60% amazing but 40%harsh because i feel they push you a bit too hard and they also expect a bit too much of me especially because i am ten (the youngest the class) plus we are on summer holidays but mostly its a fun and edu

On the last day your parents get to come early and see what you have made.

I LOVE the GAMES, also it was very hard. My typing has improved quite a bit, the letters get harder as you go on but I was able to do it. I liked the activities because on Thursday we got to go swimming. I found the tutors helpful.

I came here to improve my typing and they managed to give me what I asked for.

HARD, FUN, OVERALL GOOD WEEK

I learned a whole lot more when I came out of the room. Not bad. Very challenging to start but got easier when the week progressed. Some bits were hard but I understood in the end.

Funtech is very efficent for learning how to do coding, making games and programming robots but over the computer based; Funtech has made its place in London.
